Honor Magic 2 Has Six Cameras, 3D Face Unlock, Bezel-Less Sliding Design

First shown off at IFA 2018 along with the Kirin 980, Honor has now officially unveiled the much-anticipated ‘Magic 2’ in China. Honor Magic 2 comes with a full-screen display, a sliding mechanism for the front camera, and a total of six cameras. It also has its very own AI voice assistant, at least for the Chinese market.

Price and Availability

The Honor Magic 2 comes in three different configurations and has been priced starting at 3,799 yuan (~ Rs 40,000) for the 6GB+128GB variant. You’ll, however, need to shell out 4,299 yuan (~ Rs 45,000) for the 8GB+128GB variant and 4,799 yuan (~ Rs 51,000) for the 8GB+256GB variant.

The Honor Magic 2 will be available in blue, teal and red – with a gradient added to it, like is the case with most modern phones these days. It will go up for pre-order tomorrow and will be available for purchase starting November 6.

Specs and Features

In an attempt to extend the screen to the edges, phone makers are now going back to the sliding parts. Honor Magic 2 follows the lead of Oppo’s Find X and Xiaomi’s Mi Mix 3 with a manual slider for the selfie cameras, sensors and more.

Cameras

The Magic 2 packs triple cameras on the front and rear to win the award for the most number of image sensors on a phone. The triple cameras on the rear are a 16MP RGB sensor, a 16MP super-wide angle lens, and a 24MP monochrome sensor. As for the front cameras, which are hidden in the slider, Honor has included a 16MP+2MP+2MP setup to give you a total of six cameras.

Backed by the dual-core NPU of the Kirin 980, Honor says the phone is capable of identifying 60+ categories and 1500+ scenes automatically. Honor Magic 2 also supports ultra-wide-angle night mode, which sounds rather exciting!
The sliding mechanism not only holds the front camera but also the company’s 3D Face Recognition technology, which will help unlock the device with just a look. Honor says it has developed the 3D facial recognition in house and it can record tens of thousands of feature points on your face to make it more secure than regular face unlock.

Display and Processor

The Honor Magic 2 sports a 6.39-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display, with a 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. It’s said to bring a super high contrast and high color gamut to the table for an enhanced viewing experience. There’s an optical under-display fingerprint scanner here, which is 32.48 square millimeter in size.
As one would’ve expected, the Honor Magic 2 is powered by its parent Huawei’s in-house Kirin 980 chipset, coupled with Mali G-76 GPU, up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. There’s also a 3,400mAh battery in tow, which supports super-fast 40W charging.
With the release of this flagship device, Honor has followed the lead of its Chinese rivals and today debuted its own AI voice assistant ‘YOYO’ at the launch event. It’s part of the company’s updated Magic UI 2.0 ecosystem for China.
Honor Magic 2 runs Android 9.0 out-of-the-box, with the company’s EMUI 9.0 skin on top. As for connectivity options, the device brings along AI-powered dual-frequency GPS navigation, Cat.21 wireless connectivity (speeds up to 1.7Gbps), Bluetooth 5.0, and dual VoLTE among other things.
So, how do you like the Honor Magic 2? Does it seem like a worthy rival to the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3? Let us know your opinions in the comments below.

OnePlus 6T is Now Official; Brings Minor Upgrades At $549

After weeks of teasing the device on social media, OnePlus has finally lifted the covers off the OnePlus 6T. The smartphone, which was recently revealed at the launch event in New York, features just a couple of changes over its predecessor, including a slightly bigger screen, a smaller notch, an in-display fingerprint scanner and more battery capacity.

Priced starting at $549, the new OnePlus 6T is just a minor upgrade over the OnePlus 6 which was launched earlier this year. The device doesn’t feature a whole lot of hardware upgrades over its predecessor and still rocks the Snapdragon 845 processor, coupled with 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The top-end 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at $629.
The 6T features the same camera hardware as the OnePlus 6, however, the company has included a bunch of software optimizations which are expected to improve its camera performance.

OnePlus has limited the color options this time around and has also upped the internal storage of the base variant to match the increase in price. The new OnePlus 6T will only be available in the Mirror Black and Midnight Black color variants, with the base 6GB/128GB variant being made available only in the Mirror Black finish. The 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB variants, on the other hand, will be available in both colors.

OnePlus 6T Specs

Here’s a quick look at the complete specifications of the new OnePlus 6T:

  • Dimensions and Weight :- 157.5 x 74.8 x 8.2mm, 185g
  • Display :- 6.41-inch Optic AMOLED 2340x1080p, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, Gorilla Glass 6
  • Processor :- Qualcomm Snapdragon 845
  • RAM :- 6/8GB LPDDR4X
  • Storage :- 128GB/256GB
  • Rear Cameras :- 16MP+20MP f/1.7 with OIS and EIS
  • Front Camera :- 16MP f/2.0 with EIS
  • Battery :- 3,700mAh with fast charge (5V/4A)
  • Software :- OxygenOS based on Android 9 Pie
  • Connectivity :- 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac 2x2MIMO dual band Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB 2.0 Type-C
  • Sensors :- In-display fingerprint, Hall, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Proximity, Ambient Light, Electronic Compass
  • Colors :- Mirror Black and Midnight Black

OnePlus 6T Top Features

As you can probably tell from looking at the specifications, the OnePlus 6T isn’t a whole lot different from the OnePlus 6 in terms of specifications. However, the device does have a few key differentiating factors, including a slightly larger display with a waterdrop style notch, a larger 3,700mAh battery, an under-display fingerprint scanner called Screen Unlock and no headphone jack.

While OnePlus isn’t the first company to have included an in-display fingerprint scanner on their device, it most certainly is the one with the best implementation. The company claims that Screen Unlock is faster than the one found on competing device and it will take just 0.34 seconds to unlock the device. In comparison with the capacitive fingerprint scanner on the OnePlus 6, which takes just 0.2 seconds to unlock the device, the in-display fingerprint scanner might seem slow, but it surely isn’t.

The OnePlus 6T runs OxygenOS based on Android 9 Pie, with the company boasting of a bunch of new UI features for the device, including new navigation gestures. While the new UI features are just limited to the OnePlus 6T right now, they’re expected to make their way to legacy devices in the near future.
As of now, the company hasn’t revealed pricing details for the Indian market, which will be announced at a separate event in Delhi tomorrow.

OnePlus 6T Unboxing: What’s In The Box?

OnePlus has finally officially unveiled the OnePlus 6T and it’s priced at $549 in the US, which is slightly more expensive than the outgoing OnePlus 6. The India pricing of the OnePlus 6T will be announced on October 30 at a separate event. The OnePlus 6T comes with minor upgrades, including a larger display with a waterdrop style notch, an impressive 3,700mAh battery, and a rather fast in-display fingerprint sensor.

Thanks to these innovative features, the OnePlus 6T is one of the best devices from the company till date, however, it isn’t without its shortcomings on paper. The device lacks a headphone jack (Never Settle?) and this might be the reason why a number of prospective buyers may be drawn away from it.
For those to whom the headphone jack doesn’t hold as much importance, the OnePlus 6T might be the device to go for. If you are in that camp, and are interested in what you’ll be getting when you purchase the OnePlus 6T, then you’ve come to the right place.

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป Know More :- How to make money on Instagram ?

OnePlus has crammed quite a lot inside the retail package for the OnePlus 6T. So, without much further ado, lets jump right into the retail package and see what we’ve got:
  • OnePlus 6T smartphone

  • OnePlus fast charge power adapter (5V/4A)

  • USB Type-A to USB Type-C cable

  • USB Type-C to 3.5mm headphone jack

  • Screen protector (pre-applied)

  • Translucent case

  • SIM ejector tool

  • OnePlus stickers

  • Quick start guide

  • Safety information
While it’s quite disappointing that OnePlus chose to remove the headphone jack on the OnePlus 6T, despite the company’s fans clearly stating otherwise, adding a USB Type-C to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter in the box is a thoughtful touch. The translucent case included in the box isn’t all that great, but it’ll definitely get the job done until you’re able to order a new case.

The bundled charger is the same as the one that ships with older OnePlus devices and it’s capable of charging the device at 5V/4A. As you’d expect from a OnePlus device, the OnePlus 6T charges quite rapidly. How rapidly you ask? In order to answer that question, we’ll be testing the charging speeds in our in-depth battery life and charging test, so stay tuned to our coverage of the OnePlus 6T.
What do you think of the OnePlus 6T’s retail package and its contents? Do you think OnePlus should have included a pair of Type-C Bullets earphones in the box? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.

Samsung Working With Google on Special Version of Android For Foldable ‘Winner’ Smartphone

It has long been known that Samsung is working on a foldable smartphone, it has even shown it off privately at CES earlier this year, but it was barely last month that we got a confirmation of its first official reveal at the company’s Developer Conference in the first week of November.

Though details of Samsung’s foldable smartphone are pretty murky, a fresh report from Bloombergnow gives us further insight into what we can expect to see at the developer conference next week. And no, don’t get your hopes up high because it wouldn’t be the final ready device but instead, a conceptual representation of the prototype.
Don’t expect to see a physical prototype of the foldable smartphone at Samsung’s developer conference, says Bloomberg.
The report reveals that the foldable smartphone has been codenamed “Winner,” a bold moniker for what could be the first mass-market device of its kind.

Flip Phone Resurfaces

Samsung is said to have been working on the foldable phone for many years, but it now finally has a prototype ready and is currently testing it out internally. Weighing at about 200 grams, it’s said to have a screen bigger than any other phone on the market, along with a 4-inch screen on the outside to offer basic features like messaging or calling.

Special Android Fork

According to Bloomberg, Samsung has been closely working with Google to develop a special version of Android for its foldable device. We don’t know anything about the new interface yet, but could it have anything to do with Fuchsia?

No in-display fingerprint sensor

The foldable display is a long-rumored vision that Samsung may have finally figured out, but Bloomberg says the screen has a photography film-like coating, which makes it less glossy than most smartphone displays. As for biometric authentication, the report says, the foldable phone won’t include an in-display fingerprint sensor due to technical issues with fitting such a sensor in a folding display.

And while Samsung may have finalized the core design, it’s still deciding between a vertical or horizontal orientation when the device is fully openWhile the vertical one will feel more intuitive and give you the sense of using a flip phone, the horizontal orientation would make it look like a tablet. Samsung engineers are said to be in favor of the vertical orientation, as per the report.

The foldable smartphone, fondly referred to as Galaxy X, will be unveiled alongside the Galaxy S10, but it won’t become available to purchase until the second quarter of 2019, falling in line 9with earlier rumors. So, what are your expectations of Samsung’s foldable phone? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Everything We Expect To See At Apple’s iPad Pro, Mac Event on October 30

Apple’s much-awaited hardware event is right around the corner and we cannot be more excited as Cupertino is expected to go all out with its new iPads and Mac products on the 30th of October next week.

The colorful and creative media invites for the event, which carries the tagline ‘There’s more in the making’ and is scheduled to take place in Brooklyn, New York has already confirmed the launch of new iPads and an upgraded Apple Pencil but that’s not all.
Apple is also rumored to take the wraps off several new upgraded Mac products and a MacBook Air refresh as well, so let’s take a look at everything we can expect to see at Apple’s October 30 hardware event:

What to Expect From Apple’s October 30 Event

Note: We’ve listed about everything we know and can expect to see at the October 30 event, but will keep updating this expectations post if any new leak or info trickles in.

New iPad Pro, iPad Mini?

Apple is confirmed to launch new iPads at its hardware event next week but with a major overhaul on the hardware front. The company is expected to launch 2 variants of the iPad Pro, sized at 11- and 12.9-inches, but the highlight this time around will be the near bezel-less design with Face ID that’s expected to work both in landscape, as well as portrait mode. This means we’ll have to bid adieu to the ‘Home Button’ with the new iPad Pros.

The iPad Pro is also expected to come integrated with the latest A12 Bionic processor, USB-C charging and data transfer port over the traditional lightning port (surprising, right?), and an 18W fast-charging brick included in the box.
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has recently also hinted at the arrival of a refreshed iPad Mini as well, but don’t get your hopes up as it won’t be the same bezel-less beauty as the iPad Pro.

Apple Pencil 2

Alongside the iPad upgrades, Apple is also expected to unveil a new Apple Pencil which supports a proximity-based pairing process similar to that seen on AirPods or HomePod. It simply means you’ll be able to pair the Apple Pencil 2 with more than one iPad and switch between them on the fly. Handy, isn’t it?

MacBook Air?

The MacBook Air is an ultraportable and powerful laptop for productivity enthusiasts but a refresh is now long overdue, which is also something we expect to see Apple unveil at the launch event on October 30th.
The refreshed MacBook Air is expected to get a design upgrade, a Retina Display with narrower bezels, latest internals (possibly 8th-gen Intel Core processors), the butterfly keyboard, and no Touch Bar. However, you can possibly expect to see Apple’s Touch ID integrated into the MacBook Air this time around for added security.

Mac Pro

Just like the iMac Pro last year, we expect Apple to give us a first look at the new modular and upgradeable Mac Pro at the October 30 launch event. The new Mac Pro is expected to be a significant upgrade for the company’s portfolio, as well as Pro users, who have been expecting to see it in the flesh at last.
Apple first announced it was working on a modular Mac Pro last year, revealing that they’re targetting users “who need the highest performance, high-throughput system in a modular, upgradeable design.” There haven’t been any leaks about the Mac Pro until date, so we’ll have to wait for the event day to know more about it.

Mac Mini

Yes, the Mac Mini. I hope you haven’t forgotten about this tiny Mac computer yet. It last got this unibody refresh (as seen above) about four years ago and has since been shown no love. However, some reliable sources have now suggested that Mac Mini is getting its much-awaited refresh that brings along a significant specs bump, storage options, possible redesign, and more.

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป Know More :- How to Earn Money From Databuddy App : Earn Unlimited paytm cash & mobile Recharge

iMac Refresh

Apple has made its beastly iMac Pro available earlier this year but the regular iMac all-in-one desktops are now due for a refresh. The info about the iMac’s upgrade is quite scant right now but we can expect only an internal upgrade, bringing in new 8th-gen Intel Core processors to the table instead of any major changes.

AirPower

Apple is attempting a major feat with the AirPower, giving you the ability to charge 3 of their products (iPhone, Apple Watch and Airpods) wirelessly at the same time simply by placing them on an elongated charging mat. However, it’s been more than a year since AirPower announcement but heating, as well as connectivity issues, has led to constant delays.
Though we don’t have high expectations for the AirPower’s launch on October 30, the event would be a good time to get an official word in from Apple. It steered clear of talking about the same at the iPhone launch event last month.

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป Know More :- 20 Cool and Most interesting Websites (2018) to Kill Time When Getting Bored

Airpods 2

If the AirPower makes an appearance (or not) at the launch event, well, the second-gen Airpods may witness its impending launch after all. These Airpods have been ready for months and are now expected to bring hands-free Siri and wireless charging support.
And if it’s any consolation, Apple has already given us a sneak peek at the new Airpods before the start of last month’s iPhone launch event. The action sequence to deliver the clicker to the event showed off the “Hey Siri” voice feature (without having the need to double tap the earbud) for Airpods, hinting at its arrival.
Well, that’s everything we expect Apple to launch at its hardware event next week. Have we missed out on anything? If so, don’t forget to let us know in the comments below and we’ll add it to the list. Also, what product launch are you most excited for? Is it the new iPad Pros or the MacBook Air, like I am?
