A coronavirus is a kind of common virus that causes an infection in your nose, sinuses, or upper throat. Most coronaviruses are not dangerous.

Some types of them are serious, though. About 858 people have died from Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS), which first appeared in 2012 in Saudi Arabia and then in other countries in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Europe. In April 2014, the first American was hospitalized for MERS in Indiana and another case was reported in Florida. Both had just returned from Saudi Arabia. In May 2015, there was an outbreak of MERS in Korea, which was the largest outbreak outside of the Arabian Peninsula. In 2003, 774 people died from a severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) outbreak. As of 2015, there were no further reports of cases of SARS. MERS and SARS are types of coronaviruses.

But in early January 2020, the World Health Organization identified a new type: 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in China. By late January, there were 300 confirmed cases in China and a death count that was still in the single digits, but rising. And despite airport screenings, a traveler had brought the first case to the U.S.

What Is a Coronavirus?
Coronaviruses were first identified in the 1960s, but we don't know where they come from. They get their name from their crown-like shape. Sometimes, but not often, a coronavirus can infect both animals and humans.

Most coronaviruses spread the same way other cold-causing viruses do: through infected people coughing and sneezing, by touching an infected person's hands or face, or by touching things such as doorknobs that infected people have touched.

Almost everyone gets a coronavirus infection at least once in their life, most likely as a young child. In the United States, coronaviruses are more common in the fall and winter, but anyone can come down with a coronavirus infection at any time.

Padma Awards - one of the highest civilian Awards of the country, are conferred in three categories, namely, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri. The Awards are given in various disciplines/ fields of activities, viz.- art, social work, public affairs, science and engineering, trade and industry, medicine, literature and education, sports, civil service, etc. ‘Padma Vibhushan’ is awarded for exceptional and distinguished service; ‘Padma Bhushan’ for distinguished service of high order and ‘Padma Shri’ for distinguished service in any field. The awards are announced on the occasion of Republic Day every year.

This year the President has approved conferment of 141 Padma Awards including 4 duo cases (in a duo case, the award is counted as one). The list comprises seven Padma Vibhushans, 16 Padma Bhushans and 118 Padma Shris. Thirty four of the awardees are women and the list also includes 18 persons from the category of Foreigners/NRI/PIO/OCI and 12 posthumous awardees.

Former Mauritius Prime Minister Anerood Jugnauth, sportsperson M.C. Mary Kom,  Hindustani classical singer Chhannulal Mishra and Vishwesha Tirtha Swami of Pejawar Mutt (posthumous) are the other Padma Vibhushan awardees.

Industrialists Anand Mahindra and Venu Srinivasan have been awarded the Padma Bhushan. Producer Ekta Kapoor, director Karan Johar, actor Kangna Ranaut and singer Adnan Sami will receive the Padma Shri.

Scheme form / loan support standards:

• Owned unit cost for self-employment vehicles, rickshaws, loading rickshaws, marutiices, jeep-taxis.
• For loans of Rs.10.00 lakhs for any self-employment profession, or for lesser than the actual cost of the business or commerce store, medical store, readymade garment store, bookstore etc., the loan will be given from the corporation.
• For the above order 1 and 2, the loan will be available at the simple interest rate of 5% of the loan. Women will be eligible to get a simple interest loan of 4%.
• Transport, Logistics, Travelers, Food Court etc. For the business, including the required structure of the vehicle, Rs. 6.00 lakh loan will be eligible for 5% interest subsidy.

Credit Criteria for self-employment schemes

• In the scheme of loan for the vehicle, the applicant must have a limited license.
• Mortgage should be done for the vehicle acquired
• After three months of receiving the vehicle, the loan will be payable in the same monthly installment of five years.
• The small business will have to start in three months of getting the loan and after three months of the loan, the loan will be recovered in the same monthly installment of five years.
• The total amount of the loan is Rs. If the amount is less than 7.50 lakh or less, then the bail bond of two sureties which can be filled up, will be presented.
• The total amount of the loan is Rs. If it exceeds 7.50 lakh, then it will have to be mortgaged in favor of the real estate corporation's own or any other relative's real estate corporation.
• Every lender has to give five blank checks signed in favor of corporation.
