SBI Clerk 2019 Mains Exam Analysis (August 10): Paper was Moderate to Difficult

SBI Clerk 2019 Mains Exam Analysis (All Shifts): With the conclusion of the SBI Clerk Mains exam on 10 August, we have provided here the detailed exam analysis and review of the examination along with the questions asked and number of good attempts.

As per the feedback shared the candidates, questions asked in the exam were of
 ‘Moderate to Difficult’ Level. A total 190 questions were asked in the SBI Clerk Mains examination for 200 marks. There was separate timing for every section. Moreover, there is a negative marking of one-fourth marks of every wrong answer given by the candidates.

The State Bank of India (SBI) conducted the Mains Exam on 10 August for recruiting a total of 8653 Junior Associates in Clerical cadre. General/Financial Awareness

The difficulty level of this section has been described as ‘Easy to Moderate’. The questions were based on topics like Banking Awareness, Financial Awareness and Current Affairs from the last 5-6 months.
However, there were some static General Awareness questions.

English Language

Questions from this section were also described as ‘Easy to Moderate’ level. The questions included Reading Comprehensions, Fill in the Blanks, Error and Rearrangement, Idioms, Vocabulary based questions, Cloze Test and Spot the Error.

Quantitative Aptitude

The overall difficulty level of this section was ‘Moderate’. The DI sets were calculation based and time-consuming. Questions were based on Number Series, Data Interpretation, Data Sufficiency, and Arithmetic (Profit & Loss, Average, Time & Work, Allegations).

Reasoning and Computer Aptitude

The difficulty level of this section was described as ‘Moderate to Difficult’ and candidates expressed it to be the lengthiest section in the exam paper.
However, there were no questions from Computer Aptitude and there were no questions of syllogism.

- Arrangement - Members facing North & South + Blood Relation
- Month based + Year
- Teacher + Subject
- Box-based
Candidates who qualify the Main Examination will be subsequently called for the Interview round. The number of candidates who will be selected for the Interview round will be approximately three-times their respective category-wise vacancies. Their selection be the based on their aggregate qualifying score.
